First, thank you for taking time out of your day to check out what’s going on in my world. The past two years of my life have been a whirlwind to say the least. My Dad passed away unexpectedly in 2016 only to have my Mom re-diagnosed with cancer a few months later – she’s doing great by the way…tough as an Ox that lady – which caused to me resign from my collegiate coaching career. I moved back home to the city of Cleveland where I was challenged emotionally; having to pivot and navigate a unfamiliar space only to have my world turned upside down again when the opportunity to move to Chicago arose a few months later. Chicago has been home since August 11, 2018. In that time I’ve made new friends, explored new opportunities, connected with incredible people and said goodbye to one’s I’ll always love. Through it all I stand here strong and clear as Kayla. Strong on my own, as an independent woman and a rock for my family. Strong knowing there is something great in-store for me and incredibly clear on what I will and will not tolerate along that path.

Fit & Full is more than a blog about my experiences and a resource for you to begin your journey towards living a more authentic life, it also serves as my escape. To share my thoughts on what guides my actions and drives me to live every day as Kayla; nothing more, nothing less. I am passionate about empowering others to do the same by making the conscious decision to turn inward and face their deepest fear, their scariest demons to become strong and be able to pursue the life, the dreams, the passions they only mention after a few mimosas on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We all have to ability to create our own reality, the decision is just our own.
